Smog Check Windsor | Smog Check Sonoma County

There are several types of Smog Check Stations designated by the state. Each vehicle is directed to a specific type of station. A vehicle can only be tested at a designated station.

A test only station is authorized to only test a vehicle that is non Star directed. Can not perform any repairs at all.

A test only Star Station can perform all smogs and can not perform any repairs at all.

A Star test and repair station is authorized to perform all smog and repair the failed vehicle. These types of station participate in the state consumer assistance program.
